Mediation Services and Divorce Services

We provide diversified mediation services and divorce services to support families to handle divorce related issues in an amiable and rational manners so that both parents and children’s needs are addressed. We also encourage divorce couples to develop child-focused perspective to facilitate children coping with family changes through co-parenting and regular parent-child contact.

Mediation Centre resolves disputes among family members, aiming at promoting the spirit of mediation to different targets in the community, including the elderly, couples, parents and adolescents, with the mission to cultivate the harmonious culture in society and to prevent and resolve conflicts in an amicable way. Parent-child Connect Specialised Co-parenting Support Centre offers one-stop co-parenting and parent-child contact services. Family Resource Centre is our first centre to serve drop-in families and divorced couples. The Centre provides diversified territory-wide services for divorced couples.

“SENsible Co-parents” – Support Project for Divorce Families with SEN Children

For the best interest of children, the project aims to assist divorced parents with children having special education / emotional need (SEN), to keep peaceful and rational communication and to develop the “Child-focused Co-parenting” attitudes to cooperative co-parent their children through multi-dimensional levels of interventions and services. Meanwhile, it also aims to facilitate the target children positively coping with parental conflicts / separation or divorce and developing post-divorce resiliency as well as growing up healthily in two homes.

Service Objectives

  1. To facilitate divorced or step / blended families with special education needs (SEN) children (target families) to better adjust to post-divorce life and enhance capacity for “Child-focused Co-parenting” through multi-dimensional levels of interventions designed.
  2. To facilitate children with special needs (SEN) (target children) positively cope with parental conflicts / separation or divorce and to develop post-divorce resiliency.
  3. To build a support network for target families through networking work and cross-sector collaboration.
  4. To raise public and professional concern towards the needs of target children through community education and advocacy work and to foster a caring community.
