The “Carers Forum - New Perspectives on Family Caregiving” event, organised by The Society, was successfully held on 19 December. Experts from the social welfare, education, and healthcare sectors were invited to discuss on how cross-sector collaboration could support families on enhancing their effectiveness of caregiving. The event attracted nearly 200 participants.
The forum featured presentations from Dr. Fong Meng Soi, Deputy Director and Senior Lecturer at Asia-Pacific Institute of Ageing Studies of Lingnan University; Dr. Fan Ning, Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Professor Doris Yu at the School of Nursing of The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. Two carers also shared their experiences, disseminating the message that "No matter family members live under the same roof or not, home is where love exists."
The forum also showcased the winning recipes from the "Support Caregiving - Cooking Good Meals for You" recipe design competition, along with the encouraging phrases for carers. The winning recipes will be compiled into a cookbook specifically designed for carers in order to recognise their contributions.

All fundraising activities of the HKFWS Flag Day 2026 "3.21 GO! Conveying of Family Wellbeing" have been successfully completed! The smooth execution of these Flag Day events was made possible by the enthusiastic participation of all the flag-selling volunteers and online fundraising volunteers, as well as the generous support from our corporate partners, media sponsors, organisations and schools, and every individual who made kind donations through different channels and those who purchased paper flags on streets.
