Financial Education

Should parents use money as a reward for children having good grades, good behaviour, or help with housework?

Although these ways can improve the children's motivation about taking on family responsibilities, but it may let the children become sensitive about money. For the foreign families, if the work is paid to others, and the children help, that means they earn for the money, for example: cutting grass or car washing. But for Hong Kong families, it may not apply. So we suggest to use the sticker chart and when the target quantity is reached, such as family activities or specific entertaining projects or favorite food as rewards will be offered to your children.
