How does the Neighbourhood Support Child Care Project ensure the quality of care provided by Home-based Child Carers?
To become a Home-based Child Carers, applicants must be caring, enjoy working with young children, and possess experience and ability in child care. They must undergo a home environment assessment, background check, and complete 14 hours of basic training. After training, social workers and child care workers evaluate their caregiving skills and knowledge, only those who pass the assessment can register as Home-based Child Carers . Social worker and Child Care Worker will conduct regular home visits, provide ongoing training, and offer supervision to maintain service quality.
