Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • To perform general accounting duties and book-keeping with respect to payable, receivable and general ledgers, invoice and receipts verification
  • To prepare journal vouchers, financial reports and account reconciliation for month-end closing and year-end closing in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • To assist in any financial aspects such as management reporting, preparing financial statements and schedule analysis
  • To manage fixed assets register and conduct ad-hoc tasks such as physical checking of assets and inventory items
  • To provide support to and coordinate with staff of centres / service units in implementing on-going accounting practice and procedures across multiple accounting functions, including income collection, cash disbursement, bank reconciliation, fixed assets register as well as bank related operations
  • To perform ad hoc assignments

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Accountancy or related disciplines with at least 3 years relevant experience in accounting
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and experience in SunSystems is an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High sense of integrity and self-discipline 
  • Immediately available candidates are highly preferred
