Home-based child carer

How can parents apply for the service? Can they contact a Home-based Child Carers directly?

Parents or guardians may contact the center by telephone, email, or in person to schedule an appointment and register for the service. They are required to complete the application form and submit the necessary documents. The service will only process to matching and provision after approval by a social worker.

Parents cannot contact Home-based Child Carers for applying the service. If home-based care is required, the social worker will assist with matching and arrange a pre-service meeting to discuss the child’s routine and care needs. Once the home-based care service is matched and started, parents may communicate directly with the Home-based Child Carers directly to maintain ongoing contact.

Schools, hospitals, or other social service organisations may also refer families in need. Interested applicants may call 2177 1321 to obtain further information regarding the application procedure.
